With a sell out crowd on the final night, the atmosphere was electric and nothing could stop how happy the crowd was. After taking a walk around the village, it is clear Liverpool have gone all out. With Ukraine themed entertainment and stalls across the waterfront along with bars and food stalls filled with event goers.
Taking to the stage during the day, acts ranged from The Vengaboys to Eurovision legends Jedward. Crowds sung and danced along to every performance and were having a great time enjoying the sunny Eurovillage. After watching Jedward perform, who doesn’t want to keep the party going?!
Pricing at Eurovillage’s bar’s seemed to be a hot topic amongst the crowd. After seeing the price guide online, we were expecting ridiculous prices but when we arrived at the bar we were presently surprised! Prices for a standard double spirit and mixer was no more expensive than in the local bars.
We joined the crowd again to watch the Vengaboys party on stage, they got the crowd going and kept the mood fun and light. The crowd were dancing along to every hit song and were watching in awe as each artists performed on stage.
“The official Eurovision Village is a key part of the Eurovision experience and, as with our whole host city offer, we wanted Liverpool’s programme to go above and beyond what you would normally expect in a fan zone.” - Director of Culture Liverpool, Claire McColgan CBE
As the time came to the main event, the crowd roared with excitement as the live final was streamed and watched with hope in their hearts.
