Bacardi X Parklie!

Whilst at a bottomless brunch on a Saturday afternoon catching up with friends, we received one of the best messages we’ve ever received.

On the Saturday afternoon, Bacardi sent us a message asking if we’d like to go to Parklife with them the following day!

Of course we couldn’t say no to such an offer, we started making plans and picking our outfits for one of the hottest festivals of the summer.

Manchesters Parklife festival is iconic, and is ran by its creator, Sacha Lord. Lord is an advocate for drug testing and supporting local hospitality venues which were huge advocates for. Drug safety is extremely important, especially within a festival surrounding. The government recently took a u-turn on this policy as they believe it supports drug taking.

After arriving at Parklife for the first time, we were informed that the festival had been postponed for an hour due to the bad weather. We didn't let this stop us and made some great friends along the way as we took shelter before going into the festival.

As if by magic the sun came beaming down across Manchester and the festival could resume. We headed straight over to the Bacardi stage where we found an incredible scene of up and coming DJ’s which matched the Bacardi vibe, we felt as if we’d been transported to a tropical island with how amazing the atmosphere was on that stage.

The Casa Bacardi stage is a purpose built space for festivals which is set out like a villa, built with its own bar and DJ space. After getting our Pina Coladas from the bar, we headed to the dance floor to experience Bacardi’s DJ’s.

With the drinks flowing and music thumping we were having the best time possible! The atmosphere was electric.

Parklife festival was an incredible experience and we loved our time there, from seeing artist such as Becky Hill and Skrillex to Then 1975 and The Prodigy, there was something for everyone’s music taste. From every stage we went to we experienced a wide range of music and met amazing festival goers. We ended up on the big wheel watching over the festival grounds from a height.
